Four-year-old Kathy gazed up at the stage in her church fellowship hall and started dreaming of performing. Music has been a part of her life ever since. Family gatherings in her childhood consisted of her father playing the piano and the family singing. That is, until she started learning the instrument herself. She formally studied piano from age 8 to 19, and she and her father loved to play duets. She sang in church choirs from age 4-18 and sang All-State Chorus in high school.

Kathy took a 24 year break from performing to go to college, work in corporate America, and care for her husband and children.

But the dream of performing never died. At 50, she started acting in community theatre and playing and singing in a bluegrass band. Kathy is a natural at harmonization, her bold alto voice blending perfectly with Elizabeth’s soprano.

“I missed a lot of good songs in those decades I was raising my kids. But I’m enjoying discovering both new and old songs in the pop genre. Music can speak to you at any age, any decade.”
