Elizabeth first started singing at age two in a church choir, and she has been singing in and directing choirs ever since. She started playing the piano at age nine through classical training. She taught herself piano chords and the Nashville Numbering System to play along with songs not in her piano lesson repertoire. She also plays guitar, clarinet, flute, ukulele, tin whistle and any other instrument that looks intriguing. She is the Music Director of Saint Francis Episcopal Church on Edisto Island, SC.
“I have had plenty of classical vocal training, but equally important has been singing along to songs in the car. Singing along with men and women alike has built my vocal range, and I’ve learned the mechanics of producing a wide range of styles from what’s on the radio or my playlist.” Elizabeth’s piano style produces a complete “band” behind the vocals. Doing covers, she pulls the essential sounds of the original and integrates them into right and left hands in the piano.
From bluegrass to Broadway, from pop to classical, Elizabeth’s versatility brings the right mood to the occasion.
